Happy Wednesday! Tonight marks the eighth installment of my good job, mom series. Meet Denise. She is the mom of cute little Luke. I had the joy of photographing her family during my spring mini-sessions in April. This is one of the sweetest families ever. See below for Denise’s answers, as well as a few highlights from their session at Railroad Park!

Who was the best teacher you ever had? Why? Mr. Thomas in 7th grade because of his encouragement. He encouraged me to embrace being “brainy” as a true gift.
If you could interview anyone from your life living or dead, who would it be and why? My grandmother, Adele. We just found out I am pregnant with twins and she had twins. She passed away several years ago, but I would love to have one more conversation with her to share my joy and fears.

How did you and your husband meet? Through friends in college.
What is one of the happiest moments of your life so far? The baptism of our son, Luke. Baptisms are special, but when it is your child, it is on a whole different level. Truly, one of my happiest moments in the parenting journey.

What is your favorite color? Blue
What is your child’s name and age? Luke Callan McCluney, Age 3. Right now, he is very curious about names and he will ask you what is your “second” name meaning your last name. He is fascinated with who shares the same last name as us and why.

What makes your child laugh out loud? Silly, made up names. He will get the giggles so bad that he can’t even get the word out.
What was your favorite toy as a child? Barbie, great imaginative toy that could change from one day to the next!

What is your child’s favorite toy? Cars – hot wheels. We have hundreds of little cars around the house that pop up everywhere! He lines them up in a perfectly straight line and parks them on his blue blanket.
What is your favorite thing about being a mom? Seeing Luke reciprocate the love and kindness we have tried to instill in him. Nothing warms my heart more than to hear him say “I love you” or “it’s alright” when he comforts someone.

Thanks Denise!
xo!

Attribute of God: No condemnation in Christ—what a beautiful thing! “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:1-2
