Attribute of God: God is the everlasting God, Creator of the ends of the earth.

“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and strengthens the powerless.” Isaiah 40:28-29

The Gospel:

The just and gracious God of the universe looked upon hopelessly sinful people and sent His Son, Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, to bear His wrath against sin on the cross and to show His power over sin in the resurrection so that all who turn and trust in Him will be reconciled to God forever. —excerpt from Radical

Happy Tuesday!

Today we are celebrating Reese turning one! Well, she actually turned one in November, but it’s fun to relive the big milestones. I’ve had the honor of photographing Reese throughout her first year and capturing her birthday party. Such a treat! We had a little mini-photo shoot on her actual birthday and then celebrated the party that weekend. Ashley, Reese’s mom, did an amazing job on her party. I still can’t get over the fact that she cooked all the food and decorated…in addition to working and being a mom/wife, etc. I don’t know how she gets everything done (and done so well!)—it’s impressive!

Here is her birthday party slideshow link. (The first few photos will be repeats from the ones below. But keep going and you’ll see Reese’s room and party)

Thanks Ashley and Trevor for letting me be a part of Reese’s first year!

Attribute of God: God is invisible.

“By faith he [Moses] left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible.” Hebrews 11:27 [I love this Scripture! It just gives me chills.]

The Gospel:

The just and gracious God of the universe looked upon hopelessly sinful people and sent His Son, Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, to bear His wrath against sin on the cross and to show His power over sin in the resurrection so that all who turn and trust in Him will be reconciled to God forever. —excerpt from Radical

encouragement to moms | Birmingham, alabama children’s photographer

Happy Wednesday!

I wasn’t planning on posting anything tonight, but i ran across two amazing blog posts about motherhood that i wanted to pass along.

While i’ve never been a mom, i have a TON of respect and admiration for moms. They have a tough job that often goes unnoticed and unappreciated. So, i’m speaking for everyone tonight when i say, “Moms, you are doing an excellent job raising your kids and loving your family. Be encouraged by the words below.”
